Sixteen years ago my husband had a dental emergency. It was 4:00Pm, he was leaving the next day for the West Coast on business, and he had lost a filling. We were in a new town and didn't have a dentist. I went to the yellow pages and started making phone calls. After several attempts with no luck I reached Carol, Dr. Phelan's receptionist at this time. She said my husband could come right it. Dr. Phelan then became our regular dentist. My husband and I have since added 5 daughters to our family, and we all go twice a year.
Eight years ago we moved to New Hampshire, a 2-hour drive to South Attleboro. I make 7 appointments in Febuary and August and we all still go! Friends will say to me, "You know we have dentists in New Hampshire!" I know that we do, but I'm not ready to make a change.

My family and I have been with Dr. Phelan and his staff for over 15 years. I will never regret my decision to choose his office for my family's dental needs. Why? There are too many to list but there are 2 that come to mind. First, I am a self-confessed "baby" when it comes to needles and drills. Dr. Phelan's extreme sensitivity and thoughtfulness to my fears convinced me that I made the right choice in using him for my family's dentistry. Neither he nor his staff ever once made me feel foolish for my fears and to do this day I have **never** felt so much as a ping of pain in my care from Dr. Phelan! He's amazing!
Secondly, when people say they love their job, they don't really mean it. Dr. Phelan truly loves his job and he shows this by continuing his education so he is always knowledgeable on new technologies and techniques to help his patients through his dental care. His certification in Invisalign technology is one way in which he shows this. He is always attending seminars on various issues within his field and is always bringing this information back to his patients, so they, too, are well-versed in what is new and can make more informed decisions on the type of care that is best for them and their family.
My family and I absolutely love Dr. Phelan and his staff, who by the way, are just as friendly, kind and sensitive as the good doctor himself. I wouldn't even consider another dentist, even if I lived 100 miles away!
