Dr. James M. Phelan,D.M.D.M.A.G.D is a Master with the Academy of General Dentistry, an honor bestowed upon approximately two percent of all dentists. In addition, he is currently working toward a Mastership bestowed upon approximately two percent of all general dentists. He is a member of Continuum V of the Pankey Institute, a premier program in dental education.

Dr. Phelan is a 1983 graduate of Tufts School of Dental Medicine, and a 1983 Pierre Fauchaud Academy Award Winner. He also completed a one year post graduate "clearkship" at Tuff University School of Dental Medicine in 1989. He is a past president of the Southeastern District Mass Dental Society and currently the ethics committee chairperson. He has achieved five levels at the L.D. Pankey Institute. Currently Dr. Phelan is Cont. Ed. Coordinator for the Mass. Academy of General Dentistry and the President Elect.

Personally, Dr. Phelan resides in Rhode Island, because of his love for the ocean. His wife Debra helps in the practice a few days per week. He is the father of two boys, who enjoy skiing, la crosse, soccer and fishing. South Attleboro has been a wonderful community to work in. Dr. Phelan looks forward to the future here and is grateful for his excellent staff. In addition, he has a great interest in continuing his education for the betterment of the practice.

My name is James M. Phelan, D.M.D., and I have an established dental practice of 20 years in South Attleboro. I don’t know if you are from the area, and already receiving the dental care you have always wanted, but we would like the opportunity to provide you with the exquisite smile you deserve! We wanted to let you know we are currently receiving new patients and invite you browse the rest of our site.

We offer a variety of services, including cosmetic, esthetic, and restorative dentistry, non-surgical periodontal therapies, dental implants, one visit whitening, and Invisalign, the "invisible braces".  One visit all ceramic esthetic denistry is our most exciting and newest high-tech procedure. Please feel free to phone our office with any questions you may have.
